Monday March 22 Departure from Heathrow will be on the 22.00 Malaysia Airlines flight MH1. Complimentary meals and drinks will be served.

Tuesday March 23 Arriving in KL at 18.20 you are transferred to the connecting flight MH147 to Melbourne.

Wednesday March 24 Our coach will be awaiting your 09.55 arrival at Melbourne airport and will transfer you the short distance to the Travel Inn Hotel for the first of your five nights stay. This modern property is located in the heart of the city, close to public transport and Melbourne’s vibrant Italian Quarter. The Travel Inn has its own restaurant, bar and small swimming pool. All guest rooms are equipped with TV, telephone, fridge, air-conditioning and marble bathroom. A limited number of upgrade rooms, complete with jacuzzi, are available at a supplement of £130 per room. Once checked in, the rest of the day is free to discover the delights of this cosmopolitan city.

March 25 to 28 Four more days at leisure in Melbourne. F1 practice begins on Friday when the impressive support programme moves into full swing. Saturday sees the Grand Prix drivers battle for grid positions with several other races scheduled for later in the day. The big race takes place on Sunday and will be backed up with a variety of spectacular activities. Away from the track, experience one of the popular optional excursions which include river cruises, vineyard tours, the Great Ocean Road and the Phillip Island penguins.

 

Monday March 29 Full day for last minute shopping and sightseeing before rejoining our coach for the drive back to the airport.

Tuesday March 30 Flight MH148 departs at 00.15 for the homeward flight, via KL. Complimentary meals and drinks will be served. Flight MH2 is due to touch down at Heathrow by 16.15 this afternoon.

Built around Albert Park's lake, this fast, flowing circuit is a favourite of drivers and spectators alike. This package includes Jones Grandstand (on the outside of the first corner at the end of the pits straight) for Sunday, Clarke (on Turn 9) for Saturday, Brabham (inside Turn 1) on Friday and Fangio (opposite pits) on Thursday. All four of these stands feature numbered seats with “superscreen” TV opposite. Prices valid only until 17th December 2009 when large increases are anticipated.
