Client Comments
" Melbourne is an interesting city. Plenty of restaurants close to hotel with easy access to the track. Tour Manager did a great job of keeping us organised and entertained. "

Hosted by the sports mad people of Melbourne, the atmosphere here is second to none. Organisation is of the highest calibre with free public transport to the track. A mere three miles from Albert Park, your hotel has been featured by MRI ever since we first came here and Ferrari fans in particular enjoy its location just around the corner from the Italian Quarter. Melbourne, with its winding Yarra River and magnificent Port Phillip Bay, is attractive enough but many are keen to experience the incomparable sights of Sydney. Accommodation in Australia is on "room only" basis. The Malaysian GP takes place just seven days later creating the ideal "Double Header" holiday – see Tour OZ3 for full details.

"I was crying in my car mate," admitted Australia's newest sporting hero after stepping out of his Minardi in front of thousands of his jubilant countrymen in 2002. Fortune had certainly favoured Mark Webber who kept a clear head on his dream debut to claim two points as chaos consumed those all around him. Earlier, Ralf's first corner jostling match with Rubens caused the Williams to be launched skywards, triggering the mechanical carnage that was to eliminate eight cars, without injury to their drivers. After the ensuing safety car period, Coulthard led the field but a gearbox problem left centre stage to Michael and Juan Pablo who passed and re-passed each other until the Ferrari's class eventually prevailed.

Built around Albert Park's lake, this fast, flowing circuit is a favourite of drivers and spectators alike. Superb access and organisation together with the fullest of support programmes makes Melbourne a real winner. We recommend the new 4-Corner Ticket for maximum flexibility and value. This package includes Brabham Grandstand (on the inside of the first corner at the end of the pits straight) for Sunday, Fangio (opposite pits) for Saturday, Jones (outside Turn 1) on Friday and Clark (on Turn 9) on Thursday. All four of these stands feature numbered seats with "superscreen" TV opposite. Prices valid only until 22nd December 2011 when increases are anticipated.
