"Just a note of thanks for the great Canadian trip as winner of the Castrol GP Predictor. MRI organised a smooth weekend. Turned out to be a real epic race too."

The dramatic circuit, set amongst the Olympic Complex of the Ile Notre Dame, is just a short ride from downtown Montreal and a real joy for spectators. Although modern and vibrant, Montreal is careful to protect its French heritage. The result is a beautiful bi-lingual city with a strong Gallic atmosphere. Our short itinerary makes it possible to visit Canada without eating up too much of your holiday entitlement. The Niagara vacation has been an MRI favourite for fully two decades and presents the fabulous opportunity to experience the Falls, one of the world's greatest natural wonders. All accommodation in Canada is on a "room only'' basis unless otherwise stated.
As Jean Alesi sat on the grid at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in 1995 he must have pondered the omens. It was his 31st birthday and here he was at the wheel of car number 27 on the track named after the man who carried that same number so heroically during his tragically short Ferrari career. By lap 17 the Frenchman had progressed from fifth to second but the metronomic Michael Schumacher stood between Jean and his maiden victory. Then, suddenly, with 12 laps to run, the Benetton was stricken with a gearbox problem and Alesi was through. On the podium, Barrichello and Irvine helped Alesi celebrate the most emotional of victories as they marked the best ever result for their Jordan team.

Stand 11, with a commanding view over the end of the pits straight plus the first two corners, is in our opinion, the best vantage point at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Stand 34, with a view over the hairpin complex, also offers great spectating and at a remarkable price. Stand 1 is opposite the pits but otherwise offers a poor view. Like the other grandstands offered here, it is numbered, uncovered, has sight of a giant screen and tickets are valid for all three days of the meeting.
