Although significantly less expensive than potential visitors imagine, the inscrutable Land of the Rising Sun remains a logistical and organisational challenge. Having taken groups to the Japanese GP for more than a decade, you can rely on our unrivalled experience in this area. Since emerging from its self-imposed isolation a century ago, Japan has become a hi-tech economic superpower, yet has managed to preserve its unique traditions and superstitions.

"Rubens followed team orders," confirmed a relieved Jean Todt after the Brazilian's Suzuka victory. "We asked him to win!" Since Raikkonen needed to outscore Michael by ten points in this the final race of 2003, Barrichello's effort alone was sufficient to guarantee his teammate the title. Michael just managed to grab the single point he wanted as a safety margin by finishing eighth, having survived substantial contact with first Takuma Sato, and later his own brother, at the final chicane. Replacing the outgoing Villeneuve at BAR, local lad Sato capped a fine afternoon's work with sixth, two behind team leader Jenson Button.
