Client Comments
"I travelled from the USA for a return to Le Mans for the first time since 1996. The holiday equalled my expectations and I fully intend to return again. A good bunch of fellow travellers contributed to the success of the tour. "

Nothing could be easier. 30 sailings a day operated by P&O Ferries. Simply tell us your ideal sailing times, day or night, and we can usually get within an hour of your perfect schedule. During the short sea crossing (75-90 minutes) you have just enough time to sample the on board facilities which include restaurant, bar and tax free shop. Calais is 260 miles (320 miles via Paris) from Le Mans. Per person prices are shown in the table below.

EUROTUNNEL

In addition to the familiar ferries, we can also offer Channel crossings via Eurotunnel, the fast way to take your car from Folkestone to Calais. Platform to platform in 35 minutes. Simply turn up for your pre-booked train, check in and drive on. Each air-conditioned carriage is brightly lit and toilet facilities are available. Passenger terminals offer tax free shopping, restaurants, bureau de change and toilets. A supplement of £50 per car will apply to all reservations.

PORTSMOUTH-CAEN

Cut your driving time to a minimum by sailing into Caen, 90 road miles from the circuit. Average crossing time 6 hours. Prices will be significantly higher than shown in the table but, as Brittany Ferries apply a “fluid pricing” strategy, all rates have to be individually quoted. Please establish your exact requirements before calling us. Overnight sailings are always more expensive than day sailings. Cabin prices on request.

RESORT GUIDE

CAMPING:
Instead of an hotel we provide you with a permit to pitch one tent and park one vehicle at the Maison Blanche campsite, or any other official Le Mans camping area of your choice (not to be confused with the numerous unofficial “off circuit” campsites). The Houx campsite offers dedicated showers and numbered pitches. We anticipate the Maison Blanche and Bleu campsites will also be numbered this year.

LE MANS, Centre de l’Etoile:
Modest rooms with ample shared bathroom facilities. Very popular due to its location in the town of Le Mans, extremely convenient for the circuit, and its invaluable off-street parking. As we have a large allocation of single rooms at l’Etoile we display a second price band in the table opposite for those parties not wishing to share rooms. A few rooms with 3-6 beds are available at reduced cost. Continental breakfast is included.

LE MANS, Fasthotel:
Conveniently located adjacent to the circuit-bound highway, the Fasthotel is a relatively modern motel-style property with bar and restaurant. Compact rooms are modest but equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and en suite shower/wc. Breakfast is included. Minimum 3 nights – up to 4 extra nights free of charge (normal ferry supplements apply).

ALENCON
This typically French market town is the ideal base for British race enthusiasts. Its position 30 miles north of the circuit makes it the closest town of reasonable size to Le Mans. Accommodation is available at the following hotels:–

Hotel Campanile: The Campanile organisation is famous for its friendly welcome and this hotel on the outskirts of Alencon is no exception. Bedrooms are equipped with telephone, TV, coffee making facilities and en suite bathroom. Restaurant, bar and free car park are all on the premises. Breakfast is included.

Hotel Ibis: Situated in Alencon’s busy town centre, close to bars, restaurants and shops. Parking available nearby. All rooms have private bathroom, telephone and TV. Breakfast is included.
